National Festival of Environmental Education

 | In order to fulfill its responsibility, UNESCO Chair on Environmental Education in Payame Noor University organized the National Festival of Environmental Education on 26 January, which is world Environmental Education Day and is celebrated in many countries around the world. By organizing this festival, UNESCO Chair on Environmental education has contributed to the symbolic introduction of the World Environmental Education day. National Festival of Environmental Education began with the message of the Minister of Science, Research and Technology. This festival was attended by Dr. Hojatollah Ayoubi, Secretary General of the Iranian National Commission for UNESCO, Dr. Mohammad Reza Zamani, President of Payame Noor University, Dr. Kiyoomars Kalantari, Deputy Director of the Environmental Protection Organization for Natural Environment, Dr. Shina Ansari, Director of Environment and Sustainable Development department of Tehran Municipality, Dr. Mohammad Ali Karimi, Deputy President for Research and Technology at Payame Noor University and Dr. Seyed Mohammad Shobeiri, head of UNESCO Chair on Environmental Education at Payame Noor University and secretary of the festival, experts and specialists of environmental education. This festival was organized by UNESCO Chair on Environmental Education on 26 January 2020 at the Central Organization of Payame Noor University. In order to realize the green management of the universities and to continue the policies of the Chair and the university, this event was shown simultaneously in the form of video conferences for 31 provinces, and all the 24 specialized scientific meetings and 3-minute competitions for presenting the dissertations were held online.
