Workshop on the Concepts and Applications of Carbon Management with Emphasis on Waste Management

The workshop was held with the scientific support of UNESCO Chair on Environmental Education on 6 December 2018, on the sidelines of the first International Exhibition on Waste Management, Recycling, and the Related Machinery and Equipment, held at Shahre-Aftab International Exhibition Center in Tehran. Head of Carbon Management working group of the UNESCO Chair on Environmental Education was lecturer of the workshop. In this workshop, participants were familiarized with the following subjects:

• Various aspects of carbon management
• The national and international requirements for carbon management
• Carbon management in different stages of waste management (reducing production, separation, collection, transfer and disposal)
• Using capacities, national and international mechanisms of carbon management
• Introducing great examples of carbon management in waste management process
