Workshop on New Energy and Incineration

The workshop was held with the scientific support of UNESCO Chair on Environmental Education on 7 December 2018, on the sidelines of the first International Exhibition on Waste Management, Recycling, and the Related Machinery and Equipment, held at Shahre-Aftab International Exhibition Center in Tehran. Director of the Waste Department and Incineration Power Plant of Tehran instructed the workshop. The main discussion topics of the workshops are as follows:

• The need to adopt a new urban waste management system
• History of waste management system
• Conventional waste incineration technologies
• Requirements for constructing a waste incinerator
• The status of waste incineration projects in Iran
