Workshop on the Processes of Creating Facilities for the Plants producing Industrial and Hazardous Waste - Rules, Regulations and Guidelines for Industrial Waste Management and How it is monitored

The workshop was held with the scientific support of UNESCO Chair on Environmental Education on 7 December 2018, on the sidelines of the first International Exhibition on Waste Management, Recycling, and the Related Machinery and Equipment, held at Shahre-Aftab International Exhibition Center in Tehran. The workshop was instructed by head of the HSEE sector of the Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade. The main topics addressed by the workshop are:

• The amount of industrial (hazardous) waste generated by industries
• Basel Convention
• Capacity of the country to manage industrial, hazardous and medical waste in the provinces of Iran
• The processes of establishing facilities for the industries producing waste and waste recycling plants
• Performance and plans of the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Mine
