Workshop on incinerations, Dioxins and Furans

The workshop was held with the scientific support of UNESCO Chair on Environmental Education on 8 December 2018, on the sidelines of the first International Exhibition on Waste Management, Recycling, and the Related Machinery and Equipment, held at Shahre-Aftab International Exhibition Center in Tehran. The Commercial Director of Rah Pooyan Saleh Company presented the workshop. In this workshop, participants learned about and exchange ideas on the following subjects:

• Types of waste
• Management of industrial and hazardous wastes
• History of waste incinerators
• Types of waste incinerators and waste incineration technologies
• Waste incineration technology in Iran
• Incidents caused by Dioxins and Furans, including
• Chemical composition of Dioxins and Furans
• The effects of Dioxins and Furans on human health,
• The formation of Dioxins and Furans, and the industries that produce these compounds
• Sampling process of Dioxins and Furans in the compounds released from industrial chimneys
