Workshop on Agricultural Waste Management

The workshop was held with the scientific support of UNESCO Chair on Environmental Education on 8 December 2018, on the sidelines of the first International Exhibition on Waste Management, Recycling, and the Related Machinery and Equipment, held at Shahre-Aftab International Exhibition Center in Tehran. The workshop was instructed by the expert on wastewater, waste and pollutants, from the Environment and Food Health department of the Ministry of Agriculture Jihad. The objective of the workshop was to familiarize participants with the standards and methods of executive management of agricultural wastes. The following topics were discussed at the workshop:

• Agricultural wastes include excreta, animal carcasses, corrupt or non-consumable agricultural products, and …
• The challenges caused by the large volume of agricultural waste and the crisis our country faces in this area
• The experiences of successful countries in this field
