Workshop on Executive Strategies for Waste Management in Iran, in a four-year Plan and playing of the Mother of the Earth movie

The workshop was held with the scientific support of UNESCO Chair on Environmental Education on 6 December 2018, on the sidelines of the first International Exhibition on Waste Management, Recycling, and the Related Machinery and Equipment, held at Shahre-Aftab International Exhibition Center in Tehran. Managing Director of the Organic Fertilizer Production and Recycling Company was instructor of the workshop. In this workshop, participants learned about and exchange ideas on the following subjects:

• The amount of waste produced in the country, its types and effects on environment 
• The problems for full implementation of waste management despite appropriate laws in this field
• The proposed solutions for processing and recycling of waste in the cities and villages of Iran
• Introduction of the processing and recycling plan of Kermanshah as a template
• Comparing the investment amount and current costs of processing plans through reducing physical-biological waste by incinerators
• Development of a 4-year plan for the full implementation of waste processing and recycling plans in cooperation with the private sector
