Workshop on the Status of Air Pollution, including Pollutants Generated by Waste Incineration on the Outskirts of Tehran

The workshop was held with the scientific support of UNESCO Chair on Environmental Education on 8 December 2018, on the sidelines of the first International Exhibition on Waste Management, Recycling, and the Related Machinery and Equipment, held at Shahre-Aftab International Exhibition Center in Tehran. Head of the dust group of Department of Environment presented the workshop. The following topics were discussed at the workshop:

• Distribution and transmission of air pollution
• Effects of air pollution
• Different types of contaminants generated by natural and artificial activities of human beings
• PSI unit
• Diseases caused by burning of waste
• The effects of air pollution on plants
